Our journey Chile to perform at Vina international song writers contest 2010 was a wonderful experience (apart from the earthquake). Our hearts go out to the people of Chile and we hope they recover from the tragic happenings.

Here are some pictures of our time out there

Que Passa?

¡Hola amigos!

Incase you haven't already heard we're currenty in Chile, South America, and have been since Friday 19th Feb. We have accepted an invitation to perfom at the ViƱa international song writers contest 2010 to represent England.

On the Saturday, we attended a swanky dinner to celebrate the start of the festival following a red-carpet entrance and were introduced to, amongst judges and the other countries' representatives; Chile's very own Mayoress which was an honour in it's own right.

Last night we covered the legendary Rolling Stone's hit, "Satisfaction (I Can't Get No)" in a masssive arena which holds 10,000 people and was broadcasted ac ross the globe to approx. 50 Million viewers via International television station Canal13 (www.13.cl) and various other networks. This is the 1st of 2 (and possibly 3) performances in a bid to win the international contest. The 2nd performance will be played live tomorrow from 1AM GMT/10PM Santiago GMT-4.

We have made friends with loads of top quality acts from countries such as Ecuador, Peru, The US, Italy and more. It's our very first time in South America and we are loving every-single minute. The people of this country have embraced us, afros and all, with open arms and we are sincerly grateful for this amazing oppurtunity to play in Paradise!

Special thanks to those dedicated fans who've watched the performance live despite the time difference! However if you haven't already caught the show, you can now watch it on below.

We will continue to represent our hometown to the best of our ability...

¡Hasta pronto!

Police don't stop the music!!!

A band who were arrested and held overnight after police wrongly thought they had a gun in their van have had DNA samples returned to them.
Armed police surrounded London-based band The Thirst and their backstage staff as they left The Oak pub, in Burntwood, Staffordshire, in November.

They were acting after a CCTV operator mistakenly thought they had seen a gun being carried by someone with the band.

Staffordshire Police later released the group without charge.

The band were invited to police headquarters to witness the destruction of their electronic fingerprint scans and have their DNA samples given back to them.

Mensah Hart, singer, guitarist and songwriter with the band, said: "It was nerve-racking being back in a police station again but I wanted my DNA and fingerprints back so we can put the whole ordeal behind us.
