The Thirst LIVE in Scarborough

Hey Hey Hey!! About a week ago we took a road trip up to play a venue called Vivaz in Scarborough. The night was called Rainbow which was held in the half term week for a 16 year old and up crowd. You could see all the colours of the rainbow in the illuminated outfits worn by the young feisty ravers. There were crowd surfers, proud burpers, and loud lurkers all enjoying the musical murkers. We played a brand new set with some old ones thrown in there.

On The Brink and Ready To Move were the last two songs on the set list which started chaos and mayhem going on in the mosh pit. A stage invasion with backing vocals from the fans was the high light of the night. In all we had an excellent time and can't wait to go back. 1Love

In the studio recording the 2nd album
Hey guys and girls we've been in the studio all of last week working on our 2nd album. We decided to go for a LIVE feel to get the true sound of Electric Groove on this album.
DAMN GIRL - will be our first single off the album it is a song inspired by beautiful women and lust. Musically inspired by bands and musicians we love and that we listen to such as Earth Wind and Fire, Outcast, Justin Timberlake, Jimmi Hendrix, and Kings Of Leon.If you haven't the song we recorded an acoustic version HERE
FAST LANE - will definitely be a single too it is a song inspired by being on the road in Texas and Japan and playing to the wonderful people around the world. Musically inspired by The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Biggie Smalls and life in general.
RULE THE WORLD - is a song inspired by love, loss, dance, movement and melody, with hints of trance, brazilian house, and of course electric groove.
You can hear us playing all these NEW SONGS and more on the 5th March at The Jamm (Brixton) Tickets our only 6 quid so come have a boogie with us Click Here for tickets

Inspirational Music
Hello B.. E.. A.. UUUUTIFUL people!!!! Hope things are all good. Just thought we'd post a few music videos that inspired us in our creation of our music.
Here's some of the artist we were listening to when we first started The Thirst when we couldn't even play our instruments.
Foo Fights
This whole album was getting banged repeatedly especially these two tracks. We would be shaking our no-fros to Low on a regular.
We love comedy and to laugh (who doesn't?) and as we learnt how to actually get a decent sound out of our instruments a lot of the songs we made up were just jokes. We had a song called "the last black

TWO THOUSAND AND ELEVATION

Hello there beautiful people happy belated new year its 2011 or as we've have been saying TWO THOUSAND AND ELEVATION!!! We hope your all good, we're excited and have been working hard ready to release some new material for all of you wonderful humans.
Its been a while since we've put anything up on YouHeardThirst so here's a little recap of what we done after the first Plan-A at Plan-B with K-Lash-Nek-Off and Ed Sheeran
Early November we went down to The Brick House to The Laughing Boy comedy show which was Jokes and Mensah played a couple acoustic tracks
Oh yeah the 6th Nov was Kwame's birthday so we all went for a little boogie and saw soulful house DJ Little Louie Vega
10th December we had a little rave up for Marcus aka Mr Dready Danger's Earthday
31st December New Years Eve we supported Alabama 3. We went on right after the count down and played our hearts out for a great crowd. As most of you know NYE mostly consists of love, laughter, and vomit but we won't say no names. LOL

6th January was Marky Mark's Earthday and the 5th was our favourite DJ's Earthday too Mr Jammy Dee and we went down to his birthday party in EC1 and had whale of a time!
We also done a video for StreetStarzTv which is an exclusive track called "There She Goes"
We will be releasing "Damn Girl" has our first single of the year very soon, keep an eye for that along with a video.
5th March we holding a night at in The Jamm (Brixton) so look out for details on that.
So our beloved fellow human beings TWO THOUSAND AND ELEVATION is setting out to be the time when you began to hear a hell of alot more from The Thirst.
